In all my years as a beauty professional, I’ve never once met a hairstylist who goes into an appointment with the intention of disappointing a client. Still, sometimes the end result just isn’t what you envisioned.
Usually this can be avoided with simple communication. Most potential issues can be avoided by a thorough consultation on the stylist’s end. However, even the most accomplished hairdresser usually isn’t a mind reader. As I said in the introduction to this post, no stylist goes into an appointment with the intention of disappointing or underwhelming a client. That being said, it’s important for you as a client to communicate whether you truly like your look or if there’s something a little bit off. Trust me: you aren’t going to hurt our feelings. Our goal as hairstylists is for you to absolutely LOVE your look and we have no problem making edits to ensure that!
