What is an at-home beauty service?
An at-home beauty service is a professional beauty or wellness appointment performed at the client’s location instead of a traditional salon, spa or studio. The professional travels to the appointment with the equipment and products required to perform the booked service.
An at-home service is different from a DIY beauty kit because a trained professional actually performs the treatment. It is also different from a traditional salon appointment because the client chooses the location rather than traveling to the professional’s workplace.

Choose the beauty or wellness service you want to book. Priv allows clients to select from available hair, makeup, nail, massage, facial, spray-tan, grooming, fitness, piercing and other services depending on the city.
- Pick your date and time.
Choose an available appointment time that fits your schedule. Availability depends on the service, city, date and available Pros.
- Choose your Pro or get matched.
Browse available Priv Pro profiles and portfolios and choose a professional, or allow Priv to match the appointment with an available Pro.
- Share appointment details.
Use the Priv app to communicate with your Pro and share inspiration photos when relevant. Clients should also communicate useful access information, such as hotel-room instructions, parking details or building-entry requirements.
- Your Pro comes to you.
Your Priv Pro arrives at the appointment location with the professional equipment required for the booked service and sets up in an appropriate area. Priv describes its Pros as arriving “fully equipped” for confirmed appointments.
- Enjoy your appointment. Once setup is complete, the beauty or wellness service happens where you already are—eliminating the need to travel to and from a traditional salon or spa.

Priv Pro candidates submit an application, complete a technical audition, upload a professional license and car insurance, and complete a background check.
The technical audition includes a verbal consultation and live-model service evaluated by a Priv Talent Coordinator.

With Priv, you can cancel or reschedule free, up to 12 hours before your appointment, right in the app.
Cancellations inside the 4-12-hour window incur a 50% fee. Cancellations within 4 hours of your appointment time is charged in full, which goes to your pro for the reserved time.
